RECAP

The Mighty Deks put on a clinical offensive display, dismantling the Gooper Troopers in an 8-3 victory that was decided by sustained zone pressure. While the Troopers found some early life through RyGuyX9 and Sejje, who factored into all 3 of their team’s goals, they simply couldn't weather the storm in their own end. The turning point came in the second period as the Deks’ relentless cycle wore down the Gooper defense, turning a competitive game into a runaway. Despite Frishmania’s best efforts to change the energy with a game-high 12 hits, the Troopers spent too much of the night chasing the puck rather than creating with it. The story of the night was the dual-threat dominance of Chandler4911 and twoaccurate. Chandler4911 was nearly untouchable, racking up a hat trick and adding 4 assists for a 7-point performance, while also leading his team with 9 hits. Not far behind, twoaccurate mirrored that production with a 6-point night (3 goals, 3 assists) on 7 shots, effectively quarterbacking the transition game. On the back end, hugeexpl chipped in a goal and 2 assists while providing a physical presence with 8 hits. While wolf master00 faced a barrage of high-danger looks and made 15 saves, RedSkinStallion held steady at the other end, stopping 12 of 15 shots to seal the win. The analytical divide in this matchup was staggering, specifically regarding puck control. The Mighty Deks nearly doubled the Gooper Troopers in time on attack, recording 655 seconds to the Troopers' 363. This massive possession advantage allowed the Deks to generate 21 shots with a high conversion rate, as they consistently found seams in the Troopers' defensive shell. The game was won in the transition—the Deks navigated the neutral zone with ease, while the Troopers were forced into a perimeter game that limited their high-quality chances. With zero power play goals on either side, this was a pure 5-on-5 clinic by the Deks’ top line.
