RECAP

This matchup turned into a one-sided affair early as the Harfangs dismantled Dynamo in a 9-2 blowout. Despite Dynamo actually winning the possession battle with 8:33 of time on attack compared to the Harfangs' 6:52, they could never translate that zone time into quality chances. The turning point was a relentless second-period surge where the Harfangs’ transition game repeatedly caught Dynamo’s defenders pinching. While Dynamo tried to use a physical approach to slow the game down—led by XLeCx27’s 11 hits—they simply had no answer for the Harfangs' clinical finishing on the counter-attack. The Harfangs' offense was firing on all cylinders, led by the dominant duo of xbrindy and Duchesne_x_10. xbrindy was a force on both sides of the puck, racking up 4 goals and 6 points while leading the team with a staggering 17 hits. Duchesne_x_10 matched that 6-point production with 2 goals and 4 assists, effectively acting as the playmaker that tore the Dynamo structure apart. On the back end, SupremeBannock provided massive secondary scoring from the point, chipping in 2 goals and 2 assists. For Dynamo, binzet37 and bobaloooo_ tried to keep things competitive by combining for both of their team's goals, but they were largely starved of high-danger looks. The deciding factor in this game was pure efficiency versus wasted possession. Dynamo held the puck for over a minute longer than their opponents but only managed 11 shots on goal, whereas the Harfangs generated 23 shots and converted on nearly 40% of them. Hobo 0n Welfare was steady when called upon, stopping 9 of 11 shots to keep Dynamo from gaining any momentum. Dynamo’s inability to clear the front of the net proved fatal, as Hoss9286 was left exposed far too often, resulting in 9 goals against on just 23 shots. The Harfangs’ lethal puck movement and ability to punish turnovers made the shot differential the ultimate story of the night.
