RECAP

Los Bandidos narrowly escaped with a 3-2 victory over the Harfangs in a defensive battle that remained undecided until the final minutes. While the Harfangs physical play kept the game tight, Los Bandidos established a productive rhythm early on and largely dictated the pace. The turning point was the Harfangs’ inability to capitalize on their limited counter-attacks; despite keeping the score within reach, they struggled to sustain pressure against a disciplined Bandidos breakout. The Harfangs relied heavily on a physical dump-and-chase game, but Los Bandidos' ability to connect on set plays in the offensive zone proved to be the difference. The offensive narrative for Los Bandidos was driven by a three-point performance from EARLSWTSHlRT (1 goal, 2 assists) and the playmaking of Jellyl35l, who notched 3 assists. However, the unexpected star was defenseman Roboubi, who joined the rush effectively to score 2 goals on 4 shots, including the game-winner. On the other side, xbrindy almost willed the Harfangs to a comeback, scoring both of their goals and leading the game with a staggering 13 hits. While SupremeBannock provided excellent service from the back end with 2 assists, the Harfangs' forward group couldn't find enough depth scoring to match the Bandidos' top-heavy production. The game was ultimately decided by clinical finishing and shot volume. Los Bandidos generated 15 shots compared to just 9 for the Harfangs, forcing Hobo 0n Welfare to make 12 saves just to keep the game competitive. Despite the Harfangs winning the physical battle with 27 total hits, they couldn't turn those turnovers into quality chances, managing just a 22% shooting percentage. Clean play was a hallmark of this matchup, with zero power play goals for either side, meaning the game was won entirely at even strength. The 51-second advantage in Time on Attack for Los Bandidos reflected their superior puck possession, which allowed them to wear down the Harfangs' defense and secure the one-goal win.
