RECAP

The Brand walked away with a gritty 4-3 overtime victory in a game where they were forced to play most of the night on their heels. Despite the Harfangs controlling the pace and doubling The Brand’s time on attack, they couldn't find the finishing touch to close it out in regulation. The game's defining moment came in the extra frame when Loxies found a seam in the defense to bury his 3rd goal of the night, completing a hat trick and ending a marathon defensive stand for his squad. Loxies was the undisputed engine for The Brand’s offense, netting 3 goals on 9 shots and delivering the game-winner under pressure. He received a vital boost from Gucci Goals, who contributed a goal and an assist, while RedSkinStallion proved to be the difference-maker in net. Facing a heavy workload, RedSkinStallion turned aside 20 of 23 shots for a .869 save percentage. For the Harfangs, Duchesne_x_10 was a one-man wrecking crew, pairing 16 hits with 2 goals, while xbrindy chipped in a goal and an assist in a losing effort. The deciding factor in this contest was pure efficiency over volume. Harfangs dominated the puck, racking up a massive 883 seconds of time on attack compared to just 427 for The Brand, but they struggled to break through a disciplined defensive structure. Seedew77 was a standout on the blue line for The Brand, recording 7 takeaways and 5 interceptions to disrupt the Harfangs' cycle. While Harfangs won the shot battle 22 to 17, The Brand’s ability to capitalize on their limited counter-attacks allowed them to steal a win in a game they spent mostly defending.
