RECAP

This was a high-octane battle between two offensive powerhouses that required extra time to settle, with Feet For Hands eventually securing a 5-4 overtime victory over Half Shell Cartel. The narrative of this game was defined by a remarkable goal-for-goal duel between two elite players who accounted for 8 of the game’s 9 total markers. Despite Half Shell Cartel’s efficiency on the rush, the game shifted for good in overtime when Feet For Hands utilized their massive possession advantage to find the final opening, ending a back-and-forth affair that saw neither team able to pull away by more than a single goal. The story of the night was the individual brilliance of xbrindy and mashotpa. For Feet For Hands, xbrindy put on a clinic from the blue line, exploding for 4 goals and 1 assist, including the decisive game-winner. His ability to jump into the play was matched only by mashotpa, who carried the load for Half Shell Cartel with 4 goals of his own. Supporting the FFH attack, oSplxshin proved to be a primary distributor with 3 assists, while Rxzmus chipped in with 1 goal and 1 assist on 8 shots. On the back end, Polarities played a steady game for the winning side, tallying 2 assists and 2 interceptions to help weather the Cartel's counter-attacks. While the score stayed close, the statistical breakdown tells a story of sustained pressure versus quick-strike offense. Feet For Hands dominated the puck, nearly doubling Half Shell Cartel’s time on attack with 7:56 compared to just 4:00. This discrepancy was fueled by FFH's high-volume passing game, as they attempted 128 passes to the Cartel’s 92. Half Shell Cartel remained dangerous through mashotpa’s clinical finishing and TheHeroicShinobi’s 4 blocked shots, but they simply couldn't get enough zone time to relieve the pressure. Ultimately, the 21-15 shot advantage for Feet For Hands reflected their control over the game's rhythm, which allowed them to wear down the Cartel defense until xbrindy found the back of the net in the extra frame.
