RECAP

The Mighty Deks secured a hard-fought 5-3 victory over the Metal Can Muppets in a contest defined by sustained offensive pressure and a massive disparity in puck control. While the Muppets remained opportunistic on their limited chances, the Deks dictated the tempo from the opening draw, finishing with more than double the time on attack (10:57 to 5:05). The game felt like a constant uphill climb for the Muppets, as the Deks utilized a heavy cycle game to outshoot their opponents 21-13, eventually breaking through in the final frame to pull away for good. Chandler4911 put together a career-defining performance for the Mighty Deks, essentially willing his team to victory by scoring 4 goals and adding 1 assist. His 5-point night was fueled by a dominant performance at the faceoff dot and a perfect 100% shot-on-net accuracy. IAALLDAY520 was the primary benefactor on the blue line, recording 3 assists and managing the transition game effectively. The Metal Can Muppets saw a strong effort from Zuuuuuub, who kept things close with 2 goals and 1 assist, while sc2009crosby played the role of distributor with 3 assists, but their production couldn't keep pace with Chandler4911’s offensive explosion. The deciding factor in this game was the absolute dominance at the faceoff circle, which translated directly into possession time. Chandler4911 won 22 of 28 draws (78.6%), ensuring the Mighty Deks started almost every sequence with the puck. This control prevented the Muppets from ever establishing a rhythm, forcing them to survive on counter-attacks rather than sustained pressure. Despite a solid 16-save effort from SpitCan6064 in net, the Muppets' inability to win draws or exit their zone consistently left them gassed by the 3rd period, allowing the Deks to clinch the 2-goal win.
