RECAP

Feet For Hands walked away with a hard-fought 6-4 victory over the Flamingos in a game that was defined by a massive disparity in puck control. Despite the Flamingos hanging around thanks to a lethal power play and some shorthanded heroics, Feet For Hands dictated the pace from start to finish, nearly doubling their opponents in time on attack (731 seconds to 386). The narrative for much of the night was the Flamingos' ability to make the most of limited opportunities, but the relentless pressure from the Feet For Hands forward group eventually broke the game open in the later stages. The offensive output was centered around two standout individual performances. Rxzmus led the way for Feet For Hands with a clinical hat trick and an assist, fueled largely by the elite playmaking of oSplxshin, who finished with 4 assists and controlled the offensive zone with 500 seconds of individual possession. On the other side, JNoQuarterJ was a one-man wrecking crew for the Flamingos, matching the hat trick with 3 goals of his own. JNoQuarterJ was incredibly efficient, scoring twice on the power play and adding a shorthanded marker to keep the Flamingos within striking distance despite being pinned in their own zone for long stretches. The deciding factor was the sustained pressure and volume of chances generated by Feet For Hands. They outshot the Flamingos 20-14 and forced the Flamingos' defense into a reactive state, evidenced by Thatbaillieguy being forced to record 8 takeaways just to keep the score respectable. While the Flamingos were efficient on special teams, converting 2 power play goals, they couldn't overcome the possession gap. xbrindy and Polarities provided the necessary stability on the back end for Feet For Hands, combining for 7 takeaways and 7 interceptions to ensure that once the Flamingos lost the puck, they rarely got it back.
