RECAP

Not My Game secured a clinical 2-0 victory over the Flamingos in a contest defined by defensive discipline and efficient puck movement. While the score remained tight throughout, NMG dictated the pace for the majority of the night, holding a significant 576 to 445 advantage in time on attack. The Flamingos struggled to generate high-danger looks, and every time they managed to mount a counter-attack, they were met with a wall in the neutral zone. The turning point was NMG’s ability to turn sustained pressure into goals from both the forward group and the back end, effectively suffocating the Flamingos' offense before it could ever find a rhythm. The victory was anchored by Korbo5379, who was perfect between the pipes, stopping all 12 shots he faced to earn a well-deserved shutout. Offensively, DaddyJoeFerg was the engine for NMG, recording 1 goal and winning 13 of 25 faceoffs while maintaining an elite 91% passing accuracy. He was supported by Roboubi, who joined the rush to net the game’s other goal, and the playmaking duo of Sshh Wredd and MoNsTeR I30I, who both finished with 2 assists. On the other side, Philliesgreat08 did everything possible to keep the Flamingos in it, making 17 saves on 19 shots for a solid .895 save percentage, but the offense in front of him couldn't solve NMG's structure. Possession management and defensive takeaways were the ultimate deciders. The Flamingos were plagued by puck security issues, as Dirbykach13 and JNoQuarterJ combined for 18 turnovers, making it nearly impossible for the team to sustain any meaningful pressure. NMG’s Bubbaman115 was the primary disruptor, leading the game with 6 takeaways and 2 blocked shots to keep the lanes clear. This defensive rigidity, combined with NMG’s 19-12 shot advantage, ensured the Flamingos spent too much energy defending and not enough time testing Korbo5379 in the offensive zone.
