RECAP

Good try secured a hard-fought 4-3 victory over the Lot Lizards in a game that required overtime to find a winner. The narrative was a classic clash of styles: Good try focused on methodical puck control and sustained pressure, while the Lot Lizards opted for a high-volume shooting approach. Despite the Lizards outshooting the home side 20 to 16, Good try used their superior time on attack (11:07) to wear down the opposition, eventually finding the breakthrough in the extra period to end the contest. The game was dominated by the duo of Perellzy and Licks-_-97, who incredibly combined for every single point recorded by Good try. Both players finished the night with 2 goals and 2 assists, but it was Licks-_-97 who played the hero role by netting the overtime winner. Licks-_-97 was also a force in the circle, winning 15 of 29 faceoffs and maintaining a clinical 93% passing accuracy. On the other end, See dub 21 kept the Lizards in the hunt with 2 goals, while gunnr miggs stood tall in net for Good try, stopping 17 of 20 shots for an .850 save percentage to outduel his counterpart. Efficiency and special teams proved to be the deciding factors in this tight matchup. Good try made the most of their limited opportunities, including a pivotal power-play goal that provided a necessary boost. While the Lot Lizards generated more total attempts, their inability to convert on their lone man-advantage and a lower save percentage from Bcrippsx31 (.750) left the door open. Ultimately, Good try’s ability to control the tempo for over 11 minutes of possession allowed them to dictate the game's final moments and secure the win.
