RECAP

Supremacy edged out The cozbys in a tight 3-2 battle that was decided by razor-thin margins. Both teams hovered around the 10-minute mark for time on attack, showcasing a heavy possession-based game where neither side was willing to blink first. The turning point came in the second half of the game as Supremacy managed to break through a stagnant neutral zone, leading to Parksy netting his second of the night which stood as the game-winner. While The cozbys pushed late to find an equalizer, the Supremacy defensive shell held firm to secure the one-goal victory. Parksy was the clear engine for Supremacy, finishing with 2 goals on 5 shots and proving to be a nightmare for the opposition in transition by recording 6 takeaways. He was flanked by foul, who put on a playmaking clinic with 1 goal and 2 assists, figuring into every single Supremacy tally. For The cozbys, Vibe managed to find the back of the net to keep the game within reach, while mashotpa did the dirty work in the middle, winning 57.9% of his draws to give his side a consistent advantage in starting with the puck. The game was ultimately decided by Supremacy’s active sticks and defensive anticipation. Despite The cozbys winning the faceoff battle and keeping the time on attack nearly identical (9:33 to 9:59), Supremacy’s top skaters combined for 17 total takeaways. Kirkyy88 was instrumental on the back end, balancing 14 turnovers with 6 takeaways and 2 primary assists to jumpstart the rush. This ability to punish mistakes allowed Supremacy to overcome The cozbys' possession game, proving that efficiency in the transition game often outweighs raw time in the offensive zone.
