What a series we have on our hands! Last night, Gold Standard edged out Hot N Sweaty with a nail-biter of a match ending 5-4. FloppyW3nis was an absolute beast, lighting the lamp 3 times, showcasing why he's a go-to player in crucial moments. Hot N Sweaty had their chances, especially with Splifnrum putting up a goal and 2 assists, but they couldn't quite close the deal, even with Derekgnr doing his best to keep them in the game with 12 saves.
The next night swung around and it was another great game as Gold Standard pulled ahead again, this time with a 3-2 win. xPhiist stood out for Hot N Sweaty, scoring both power-play goals, but it wasn't enough against Gold Standard's ImN0tEvenG00d, who turned in a stellar performance with 2 goals, including the game-winner. The special teams were buzzing, leading to plenty of penalties and tense moments throughout the game.
Both teams delivered thrilling performances, and if this first move is anything to go by, we’re in for quite the show in this series! Keep an eye on these matchups, as each game keeps us guessing on who will claim the ultimate bragging rights by season's end.
