Half Shell Cartel sweeps the series 2-0 over Mighty Deks with back-to-back close victories (4-2, 3-2). While both games were competitive, the Cartel's ability to capitalize on key moments and maintain discipline proved to be the difference-maker in this tightly contested matchup.
The series featured standout performances from both sides. For Half Shell Cartel, the dynamic duo of Hoots l16l and ACE 22 QC led the offensive charge in Game 1 with 3 points each, while CruelBloom7525 contributed strong two-way play from the blue line. Binzet37 was the offensive catalyst for Mighty Deks, scoring both goals in Game 1 while throwing an impressive 11 hits to set the physical tone. The goaltending battle saw xFB17 (.867 save percentage) outperform DrunkenComb393 (.714) in the opener.
Special teams and discipline ultimately decided this series. The Cartel's superior puck movement (111 completed passes to Deks' 63 in Game 1) and power play execution (1/4 success rate) gave them the edge in crucial moments. While the Mighty Deks managed to generate similar shot totals and possession time, they were undone by taking 8 penalty minutes to the Cartel's 2 in the opening game, a pattern that prevented them from building consistent offensive pressure. NYRocky94's game-winner in the first match exemplified the Cartel's ability to capitalize on their opportunities when it mattered most.
