The Sea Cows took the series 2-1 over Gangsters Hockey Club in a tightly contested three-game battle that saw momentum swing wildly after the opening whistle. Gangsters HC started the matchup with a clinical 2-0 shutout win, fueled by a dominant possession game and a perfect 7-save performance from unholyxheadshot. However, the Sea Cows responded in Game 2 with a gritty 4-3 victory to stave off elimination, before clinching the series in a defensive Game 3 where they ground out a 2-1 win.
The series was defined by standout individual performances on both sides of the ice. For the Sea Cows, mashotpa. was the offensive engine, racking up 5 points (2 goals, 3 assists) and factoring into every single goal during their crucial Game 2 bounce-back. He was supported by runnittup, who also recorded 5 points across the series, including a two-goal outburst in the second game. Gangsters HC relied heavily on xHoodler, who led all skaters with 6 points and maintained a 2.0 point-per-game average, while hugeexpl provided the physical backbone for the club with an incredible 23 hits over the 3-game stretch.
Discipline and efficiency eventually decided the outcome in favor of the Sea Cows. Despite being out-hit 67-41 across the series and often facing a shot deficit, the Sea Cows remained remarkably disciplined, particularly in the pivotal second game where they refused to take a single penalty. While Gangsters HC controlled the shot clock in the first two outings, they struggled to convert in Game 3, manageing only 6 shots on net. The Sea Cows’ ability to dictate the pace in the clincher—nearly doubling the Gangsters' time on attack (6:01 to 3:16)—allowed them to secure the narrow one-goal victory and the series win.
