SERIES RECAP

The Flamingos took the series 2-1 over The Brand, completing a resilient comeback after a heartbreaking overtime loss in the opener. The series arc was defined by a massive shift in momentum; after WhoUsedAlltheTP carried The Brand to a 5-4 OT victory in Game 1 with a 4-goal performance, the Flamingos flipped a switch. They dominated the remainder of the matchup, putting up identical 6-2 scores in Game 2 and Game 3 to close out the series in convincing fashion. The offensive story of the series was the lethal connection between l Volcom x 28 l and Saucyfozy. Volcom was a finishing machine, netting 10 goals over the 3 games, while Saucyfozy acted as the primary engine with 9 assists. Chandler4911 was equally vital at center, averaging 3.3 points per game and providing the Flamingos with consistent secondary scoring. For The Brand, Rapierrrr was a physical force throughout, racking up 34 hits across the series, but the team struggled to find a consistent scoring threat after WhoUsedAlltheTP’s explosive Game 1. The deciding factor was the Flamingos' clinical shooting efficiency and their ability to capitalize on transitions. While the time on attack was often neck-and-neck—and The Brand actually led in possession during the Game 3 finale—the Flamingos were far more opportunistic, scoring on nearly 28% of their shots across the series. This efficiency was bolstered by a significant advantage at the faceoff dot, where Chandler4911 helped his team win 45 draws compared to 30 for The Brand. In net, SargeNPrawns recovered from a shaky series opener to post save percentages of .846 and .833 in the closing games, providing the stability needed to negate The Brand's heavy forecheck.
