SERIES RECAP

The Flamingos took the series 2-1 over VooDoo Child in a tightly contested matchup that required two overtime finishes to settle the score. The series opened with a statement 4-1 win by the Flamingos, fueled by a massive 12:09 to 6:59 advantage in time on attack. However, VooDoo Child refused to go away quietly, roaring back in Game 2 with a 6-5 overtime thriller that saw the two teams combine for 11 goals. The momentum shifted one final time in the deciding Game 3, where the Flamingos clamped down defensively to secure a 5-4 overtime victory and the series win. Bumpy x L6L was the primary engine for the Flamingos' offense, racking up 7 goals and 11 points across the 3 games, including a hat trick in the Game 2 loss. He was mirrored by Chandler4911, who acted as the series’ premier setup man, finishing with 9 points and a 54% win rate at the faceoff dot. On the VooDoo Child side, TwO AcCuRaTE was nearly unstoppable, posting 10 points (3 goals, 7 assists) and consistently keeping his team in games with elite distribution. Hylightt also stood out for VooDoo Child, providing 8 points and a massive physical presence with 25 hits. Ultimately, the Flamingos' superior puck control and shot volume decided the outcome. Across the 3 games, the Flamingos outshot VooDoo Child 61-41 and maintained a significant edge in possession time, totaling 2012 seconds on the attack compared to VooDoo's 1608. While VooDoo Child’s power play was perfectly efficient at 2-for-2, they struggled to find enough 5v5 opportunities to overcome the Flamingos' pressure. The series reached its climax in Game 3 when defenseman Attree x i33i jumped into the play to score the overtime winner, punctuating a series where the Flamingos simply refused to let go of the puck.
