SERIES RECAP

The Strawberrys secured a 2-1 series victory over The Brand in a matchup that defined the difference between clinical efficiency and sustained pressure. The Brand actually opened the set with a 5-4 heist in Game 1, winning despite being outshot 20-9 and losing the time on attack battle by nearly 7 minutes. However, the momentum flipped hard in Game 2 as The Strawberrys found their rhythm, surging to a 5-2 win to force the decider. By Game 3, the relentless forecheck of the Strawberrys became too much to handle, as they controlled the pace to close out the series with a 5-3 win. The Strawberrys' top line was nearly impossible to contain, led by mashotpa who put up 12 points across the 3 games, including a massive 5-point effort in the clincher. splxshin. was equally vital, matching a 10-point series total with a dominant performance in the circle, winning 48 of 68 total faceoffs to keep the puck in the offensive zone. For The Brand, Mr LWSP was a one-man engine, recording 14 total points to lead all skaters in the series. Rapierrrr also stood out as a physical force, netting a hat trick in the opening win and delivering 35 hits across the series to make the Strawberrys' defenders earn every breakout. Possession time and faceoff control ultimately told the story of how this series was won. The Strawberrys averaged over 10 minutes of time on attack per game, keeping The Brand pinned in their own zone and forcing them to rely on counter-attacks. While The Brand stayed alive early by converting on limited high-danger chances—highlighted by an absurd 55.6% shooting percentage in Game 1—they couldn't sustain that efficiency while being outshot 55-41 across the 3 games. FatalX87’s ability to stabilize in net after a shaky start allowed the Strawberrys to stick to their heavy-possession game plan, eventually overwhelming The Brand’s defense through pure volume.
