SERIES RECAP

The Harfangs secured a hard-fought 2-1 series victory over VooDoo Child in a matchup defined by wild momentum shifts. After opening the set with a clinical 3-0 shutout, the Harfangs looked to be in total control until Game 2 turned into an offensive track meet. VooDoo Child exploded for 8 goals in that second contest, briefly shifting the pressure back onto the Harfangs for a high-stakes finale. The rubber match lived up to the hype, as the Harfangs weathered a relentless storm in Game 3 to escape with a narrow 5-4 win and take the series. xbrindy was the undisputed engine for the Harfangs, leading all skaters with 10 points and a massive 41 hits across the 3 games. He was supported by Jeeves2009, who was a force in the middle with 9 points and 37 faceoff wins, while Duchesne_x_10 added 8 points of his own. On the VooDoo Child side, Bills 39 was a pure scoring threat, netting 7 goals in the series, including a legendary 5-goal performance in Game 2. Between the pipes, Philliesgreat08 proved to be the ultimate difference-maker for the Harfangs, posting a shutout in the opener and making 20 saves in the clincher to outduel the VooDoo Child crease. Ultimately, the series was decided by the Harfangs' superior finishing and relentless physicality. While VooDoo Child outshot the Harfangs 51-36 and held a slight edge in total time on attack across the series, they couldn't overcome the physical toll of 121 total hits delivered by the Harfangs' lineup. The goaltending disparity was the final nail in the coffin; while VooDoo Child struggled to find a rhythm in net, the Harfangs benefited from timely saves that allowed them to win Game 3 despite being outshot 24-11. The Harfangs' ability to disrupt VooDoo’s cycle with heavy contact and convert on high-danger chances ensured they walked away with the series win.
