SERIES RECAP

Degeneration X took the series 2-0 over Not My Game in a performance defined by relentless offensive pressure and puck possession. DX set the tone early with a 4-1 victory in the opener and maintained that momentum through a 5-2 win to close out the set. While Not My Game showed flashes of physicality and clinical finishing in Game 2, they spent far too much time defending in their own zone to ever seriously threaten the series outcome. The offensive production for Degeneration X was remarkably consistent, led by the duo of LYCAN x 57 x and bobaloooo_, who both finished the series with 8 points across the 2 games. LYCAN acted as the primary engine of the offense, racking up 6 assists and 2 goals, while bobaloooo_ provided the finishing touch with 4 goals on just 6 shots. DaddyJoeFerg was equally vital in the middle, contributing 5 points and dominating the faceoff circle with a 65% win rate across the series. For Not My Game, Swizz Wrld was a force on the wings, recording 2 goals and a massive 23 hits, while Habsyyy11 distributed the puck well with 3 assists in the losing effort. The statistical story of the series was the massive disparity in Time on Attack and discipline. Degeneration X nearly doubled Not My Game’s offensive zone time, finishing the series with 1421 seconds of TOA compared to just 761 for NMG. This possession advantage led to a 34-20 shot differential that wore down the NMG defense. Furthermore, Not My Game struggled with discipline, accruing 12 penalty minutes over the 2 games, which repeatedly stalled their comeback attempts and allowed the DX power play to keep the pressure on. Swatman27 remained reliable in net for DX when called upon, finishing the series with a combined 16 saves to secure the sweep.
