SERIES RECAP

The Flamingos take the series 2-0 over Not My Game in a matchup defined by clinical finishing and special teams dominance. While the scoreboard remained close in both contests, the Flamingos controlled the narrative throughout, securing a 5-3 win in the opener before fending off a late surge to take Game 2 by a 4-3 margin. Not My Game proved they could hang in high-event sequences, but they ultimately couldn't find an answer for the Flamingos' ability to convert on limited opportunities. The series belonged to hockeymike2344, who put up a massive 7 points (3 goals, 4 assists) across the two games, including a shorthanded tally and the game-winning goal in the second leg. He was flanked by Thatbaillieguy, who provided 5 points and a stabilizing presence in the circle with 21 faceoff wins. On the other side, Sash (𝕊𝕒𝕚𝕕𝕕 𝕎𝕣𝕝𝕕) did everything possible to keep Not My Game competitive, racking up 4 goals over the series, while m4ckzz88 acted as the primary facilitator with 5 assists. Despite the offensive output from their top line, Not My Game struggled to get stops when it mattered most, as SpitCan6064 finished the series with a .640 save percentage compared to a steady .739 from LYCAN. Special teams and possession time were the ultimate deciders in this set. The Flamingos were perfect on the power play, going 2-for-2 across the series, while Not My Game failed to convert on any of their man-advantage opportunities. The Flamingos also held a significant edge in time on attack, logging 20:23 of possession compared to 15:34 for Not My Game. By forcing the play and staying disciplined in their own end, the Flamingos dictated the pace and relied on their high-percentage shooting—converting 9 goals on just 25 total shots—to sweep the series.
