RECAP

In a tight-checking 2-1 victory, That Was Ugly edged out High Glass in a game dominated by defensive prowess and possession control. Despite both teams combining for just 25 total shots, the contest remained intense throughout, with Jeeves2009's game-winning goal proving to be the difference-maker. High Glass showed resilience, keeping things interesting with l_Willis_97_l's shorthanded tally, but couldn't find the equalizer. Jeeves2009 was the offensive catalyst for That Was Ugly, netting both goals while registering a game-high 6 shots and throwing 7 hits. On the opposing side, l_Willis_97_l made his presence felt with 9 bone-crushing hits and a brilliant shorthanded goal. Both netminders put in solid performances, with PrawnsAndKings stopping 8 of 9 shots for the win, while Il Eroc lI made 14 saves in a losing effort. The game ultimately came down to possession and shot generation, with That Was Ugly holding a significant time of attack advantage (10:38 to 7:07) and outshooting their opponents 16-9. Despite having 4 minutes of power play time, High Glass couldn't capitalize with the man advantage, and ironically gave up the momentum when l_Willis_97_l's shorthanded goal proved to be their only scoring play of the night.
