RECAP

Supremacy put on an absolute clinic, dismantling the Metal Can Muppets in a lopsided 8-0 shutout. From the first drop of the puck, the game was dictated by Supremacy’s relentless cycle and quick-strike transition game. There wasn’t a single moment where the Muppets looked capable of stemming the tide, as Supremacy utilized a dominant opening frame to pull away and never looked back, turning the final two periods into a masterclass in puck possession. The offensive production was perfectly balanced between the wings, as mistertwox2 and yRykerr each posted massive 6-point performances. mistertwox2 was clinical, finding the back of the net 4 times on just 7 shots, while yRykerr completed his own hat trick and added 3 helpers. On the back end, the defensive pairing of TrashDav and xMakar l8l functioned like primary playmakers, combining for 9 assists and effectively neutralizing any rare Muppet counter-attacks. In net, Washedbob had one of the quietest nights of his career, turning aside all 5 shots he faced to secure the easy clean sheet. The statistical gap tells the story of a complete mismatch in execution and discipline. Supremacy controlled the puck for 768 seconds of time on attack compared to just 284 for the Muppets, essentially tripling their opponent's zone time. Special teams were equally one-sided; Supremacy converted 3 times on the power play, heavily punishing the Muppets for their 8 penalty minutes. Between Jalbert L93L winning 70% of his draws and the Muppets coughing up the puck 25 times between their top two forwards, Supremacy enjoyed a total monopoly on the flow of play.
