SERIES RECAP

Supremacy takes the series in a 3-0 sweep over the Metal Can Muppets, though the final result masks a very competitive start. The series hinged entirely on Game 1, a back-and-forth 4-3 overtime thriller where the Muppets nearly stole the momentum. After yRykerr buried the overtime winner in that opener, the ice tilted permanently. Supremacy effectively broke the series open in Game 2 with a dominant 8-0 performance and refused to let up, closing things out with a clinical 5-0 shutout in the finale. The offensive output from Supremacy’s top line was staggering across the 3 games. yRykerr was the clear standout, racking up 14 points (8 goals, 6 assists) and averaging nearly 5 points per game. He was flanked by mistertwox2, who provided consistent secondary scoring with 11 points of his own. On the back end, xMakar l8l acted as a primary distributor from the point, finishing the series with 9 assists. While the Muppets struggled to find the net, SpitCan6064 deserves credit for a massive 24-save performance in the opening game to keep his team in contention before the shot volume eventually became too much to handle. The series was ultimately decided by Supremacy’s suffocating puck pursuit and clinical special teams. They finished the series with a massive advantage in time on attack, controlling the puck for over 36 minutes compared to roughly 22 minutes for the Muppets. This possession gap was exacerbated by the Muppets' struggles with puck security; Zuuuuuub and Prodigyx8 combined for 74 turnovers across the series, often gift-wrapping transition opportunities for Supremacy. When the Muppets did take penalties, Supremacy punished them, specifically in Game 2 where they went 3 for 3 on the power play. Combined with Washedbob’s back-to-back shutouts to end the series, Supremacy simply didn't leave any room for a Muppets comeback.
