RECAP

Supremacy walked away with a 6-3 victory, but the final score hides a game defined by extreme contrasts in efficiency. Metal Can Muppets actually controlled the pace for much of the night, racking up 652 seconds of time on attack compared to Supremacy’s 432. However, Supremacy put on a clinic in clinical finishing. While the Muppets cycled effectively in the zone, Supremacy struck quickly on the counter-attack, turning their limited opportunities into high-danger goals and never letting the Muppets build real momentum despite their territorial advantage. The offensive trio for Supremacy was essentially untouchable. yRykerr led the charge with a 3-goal hat trick and 4 points, showing an incredible nose for the net on just a handful of opportunities. He was supported by center hockeymike2344, who served as the team's engine with 1 goal and 3 assists while posting an elite 92.86% passing accuracy. LordFrenchy_ added 2 goals of his own to round out a dominant performance from the forward line. For the Muppets, Binzet37 was a monster in the faceoff circle, winning 19 of 23 draws (82.6%), but his playmaking couldn't overcome the steady goaltending of swatman27, who made 19 saves to keep the Muppets at bay. The game was ultimately decided by finishing ability and puck security. Supremacy scored 6 goals on just 12 shots—a staggering 50% shooting percentage—while the Muppets only converted 3 times on 22 attempts. This discrepancy was exacerbated by defensive zone turnovers; the Muppets struggled to protect the puck under pressure, with yung96 surrendering 16 giveaways over the course of the game. Despite winning the possession battle and the shot count, the Muppets' inability to find the back of the net combined with Magilla72’s difficult night in goal (6 saves on 12 shots) allowed Supremacy to pull away comfortably.
