SERIES RECAP

Harfangs completed a dominant 3-0 sweep over Baboons, though the series began much tighter than the final result suggests. Game 1 was the turning point, a back-and-forth thriller that Harfangs managed to steal 4-3 in overtime. That narrow escape shifted the momentum entirely; Harfangs followed it up by pulling away for a 5-3 win in Game 2 before putting on a defensive clinic in a 5-1 closeout victory. While Baboons remained competitive in shot volume and possession throughout the first 2 matchups, they simply couldn't find an answer for Harfangs' late-game execution. Duchesne_x_10 was the undisputed engine for Harfangs, putting up a massive 11 points and 55 hits across the 3 games. His ability to produce while playing a heavy game was the difference-maker, as he finished the series with 6 goals and 2 game-winning tallies. He was supported by xbrindy, who was equally relentless, racking up 9 points and a series-high 56 hits to punish Baboons' defenders on the breakout. For Baboons, l Volcom x 28 l was a bright spot, leading his team with 5 goals and 6 points, but he lacked the consistent secondary scoring depth needed to keep pace with the Harfangs' top unit. The series was ultimately decided by clinical efficiency and a significant gap in goaltending. Despite being outshot 50-45 across the series, Harfangs were lethal with their opportunities, particularly in Game 3 where they scored 5 goals on just 14 shots. Philliesgreat08 provided a steady presence in net for Harfangs, turning aside 41 of 48 total shots to keep Baboons frustrated. On the other end, Baboons struggled with consistency between the pipes, as their goaltending tandem couldn't match Philliesgreat08's reliability. Combined with a physical lopsidedness that saw Harfangs lead the hit count in every game, the Baboons were eventually worn down and unable to sustain their early-series pressure.
