SERIES RECAP

The Brand takes the series 2-1 over the Baboons in a matchup that featured a massive shift in momentum from start to finish. The Brand came out swinging in Game 1 with a 5-3 win and followed it up with a 4-3 overtime thriller in Game 2, effectively clinching the competitive edge early on. While the Baboons found a second gear in Game 3 with a dominant 6-2 blowout to avoid the sweep, the damage was already done by The Brand’s ability to close out those early tight contests. Loxies was the clear catalyst for The Brand, leading all players with 11 points across the 3 games and netting the game-winning goal in the Game 2 overtime period. He averaged 3.6 points per game, supported by Gucci Goals, who acted as the primary distributor with 5 assists and 7 total points. The Baboons had their own offensive powerhouse in l Volcom x 28 l, who accounted for nearly half of his team’s scoring with 8 goals in the series—including a staggering 5-goal performance in the Game 3 finale. Animal x86 also stood out for the Baboons, providing a rare mix of playmaking and grit with 7 assists and a series-high 29 hits. The series was ultimately decided by The Brand’s composure during the first two games when the margins were razor-thin. Despite being out-hit in every single contest, The Brand relied on a high-volume shooting strategy, putting 59 shots on net compared to 46 from the Baboons. RedSkinStallion provided the necessary stability in goal during the first two wins, finishing the series with 47 saves and a .797 save percentage. While the Baboons eventually figured out the scoring lanes in the third game, The Brand's ability to maintain possession and win the special teams battle in Game 3 (where they drew more penalties) kept the Baboons from ever truly mounting a comeback in the series standings.
