SERIES RECAP

Degeneration X took the series 2-1 over Bullet Hockey Club in a matchup that transformed from a high-octane opener into a defensive stalemate. Bullet Hockey Club managed to steal Game 1 with a 4-3 overtime victory despite being pinned in their own zone for most of the night, capped off by a Buckley0306 winner. However, Degeneration X completely flipped the script for the remainder of the series, securing a clinical 2-0 shutout in Game 2 and a hard-fought 3-2 victory in Game 3 to complete the comeback. The series stars were defined by Degeneration X’s offensive consistency and Bullet’s early flash. bobaloooo_ was the primary engine for the DX attack, racking up 8 points (2 goals, 6 assists) across the 3 games. He was frequently found by LYCAN, who led the series in scoring with 4 goals, including a two-goal performance to close out the series. For Bullet Hockey Club, l_Willis_97_l was the standout early on with a Game 1 hat trick, finishing the series with 5 points, while Buckley0306 provided stability down the middle with 37 faceoff wins across the set. The ultimate deciding factor was Degeneration X’s stifling defensive structure and Bullet’s inability to protect the puck. While Bullet was efficient in the opener, they were plagued by 125 total turnovers across the series, with l_Willis_97_l accounting for 39 of them. Degeneration X’s blue line, led by old_man_fool and Binzet37, feasted on these miscues, combining for 12 interceptions. This defensive pressure culminated in a masterclass Game 2 where xRoamingxRoninx posted an 11-save shutout, effectively breaking Bullet’s momentum and allowing DX to dictate the pace until the final whistle.
