SERIES RECAP

The Strawberrys secure the series victory 2-1 over Anarchy in a matchup that evolved from a defensive chess match into a complete offensive shootout. The Strawberrys opened the series with a dominant 5-1 win, but Anarchy immediately responded in Game 2 with a 4-1 victory of their own to force a deciding Game 3. The finale was an absolute track meet, as the teams traded 15 goals in a chaotic back-and-forth affair that saw The Strawberrys narrowly escape with an 8-7 win to clinch the series. The offensive output across both rosters was staggering, led by mashotpa who buried 6 goals and added 3 assists for The Strawberrys, including hat tricks in both of their wins. He was supported by the playmaking of splxshin. and Lleclerc27, who combined for 16 points over the 3 games. On the Anarchy side, Hawk x I22I was a literal one-man wrecking ball, averaging 3 points per game while racking up a massive 53 hits across the series. PunchmadeFinn also stepped up in the finale, recording 5 points from the back end to keep Anarchy within striking distance until the final whistle. Ultimately, the series was decided by special teams and puck possession during the high-stakes moments of Game 3. While Anarchy relied on a hyper-physical style to disrupt plays, The Strawberrys' disciplined puck movement resulted in 1600 seconds of time on attack compared to Anarchy’s 1483. That pressure forced Anarchy into taking 4 penalties in the deciding game, and The Strawberrys capitalized by going 3-for-4 on the power play. Despite a late push from Anarchy’s heavy hitters, those special teams conversions and FatalX87’s 40 total saves throughout the series provided the slim margin needed for The Strawberrys to advance.
