SERIES RECAP

The Flamingos secured a hard-fought 2-1 series victory over the Mighty Deks in a back-and-forth matchup that required overtime to determine the winner. The series opened with a clinical 3-0 shutout for the Flamingos, where they dictated the pace with a massive possession advantage. However, the Mighty Deks found their footing in Game 2, answering with a 3-1 win to force a deciding Game 3. The finale was a defensive stalemate that pushed into an extra frame, where the Flamingos finally broke through in overtime to punch their ticket to the next round. Dirbykach13 was the offensive engine for the Flamingos throughout the series, totaling 6 points and proving to be a force in the faceoff circle, particularly in the Game 1 win where he posted a 79% win rate. JNoQuarterJ established himself as the series' most clutch performer, finishing with 5 points and netting both game-winning goals, including the overtime winner in the finale. For the Mighty Deks, xDemon12x was a consistent threat with 4 points and a heavy physical game, recording 16 hits across the 3 games. In net, Philliesgreat08 was solid for the Flamingos, stopping 36 of 40 shots and keeping his team composed during the Deks' Game 2 surge. The series was ultimately decided by the Flamingos' ability to sustain pressure in the offensive zone. Across the 3 games, the Flamingos held a substantial time on attack advantage, totaling 1,947 seconds compared to 1,659 for the Deks. While the Deks' defensive core of IAALLDAY520 and TwO AcCuRaTE was highly efficient at moving the puck—often hovering around 90% pass completion—they spent too much of the series defending in their own end. Despite the Flamingos struggling with turnovers in the neutral zone, their 53-40 shot advantage and JNoQuarterJ’s clinical finishing in high-leverage moments proved to be the difference-maker.
